How Wild Child Came to be.

Updated: May 16, 2023

First off, you're not seeing doubles, just twins. We are Jenny Moeckel and Julie Stack. Our passion for baking started when we were little girls hanging on our mom and grandmothers' coattails eager to help with mixing or adding ingredients to the bowl. We would always play bakery or kitchen growing up with our play toys or even steal some utensils from the kitchen. We would set up shop in our room pretending to run a bakery making cakes, cookies, and other delectable treats. We learned from the best, our mom. She passed away in 2009 from breast cancer. This is why we chose pink for Wild Child.

Our passion for food only grew stronger as we got older throughout the years. We would call each up telling each other to try a new recipe or share a recipe we created. We'd joke about opening a bakery. I woke up one morning and decided why wait any longer. I started baking cupcakes to bring to school to let my teacher friends taste test. I started getting cake and cupcake orders. Julie moved down to Rockport to help me with Wild Child Cakes. Wild Child is inspired by my little wild child, Claire. I sincerely hope you do get an opportunity to try our desserts.
